IHPs cast in heaters is great craftsmanship that creates a homogenous solid heath consisting resistive heaters embedded in aluminum, bronze, brass and copper-nickel or a mixture of those molten metals. The result is a heater with large mass, equal heat distribution and excellent thermal conductivity. After finishing casting, the heater can be formed with CNC machining to the desired end product.
The cast in heater is used in heating plates for presses, during extrusion, for heating rubber and plastics, in packaging lines, for curing and much more. Cast in heaters are common in plastics industries, food industries, pharmaceutical industries, semiconductor industries, metallurgy, petrochemical industries, packing industries, textile industries etc.
IHP designs ”smart” cast in heaters for cyclic heating and cooling which we achieve by adding cooling loops and heat sinks. Through the cooling loops we can, for example, run glycol water or existing process cooling to quickly attain the thermal condition. The heat sinks use the ambient atmosphere or forced air for efficient cooling.
Cast in heaters are a classic engineering art that gives great flexibility and customer benefit.
