Industrial over the side heaters efficiently heat liquids in drums, baths, vessels and tanks. What characterizes an over the side heater is that in most cases it is mounted from above and is partially or completely immersed into the medium. An over the side heater can heat water, oils, acids, alkaline mixtures and chemical baths.
IHP normally designs over the side heaters in stainless steel tubes, PTFE coated tubes or titanium tubes. We also use steatite heating elements placed in tubes of steel, glass or porcelain. IHPs over the side heaters are customized to meet most types of liquids and environments.
Over the side heaters can be fabricated with inactive zones so that the heat-emitting surface is covered by liquid. Sensors and thermocouples can be integrated or built into separate tubes for temperature control and/or overheating protection. Temperature monitoring is normally done by analog thermostat or electronic control cabinet.
Our over the side heaters can be supplied with flanges, nipples, bended, with handles or mounting kits to suit all tanks and baths.
